After opening Onyx Poppy Boutiques in Sippy Downs, we are extremely excited to announce the opening of our new, larger and dramatically improved Buderim outlet on Saturday, January 15.

SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE FROM SABINE FROM MIRACLE SHAPEWEAR

Sabine Gruchet is a global pioneer and source of inspiration for curvy women globally, and the fashion icon will be present to meet all of our fantastic customers at the grand opening of our new Buderim Boutique.

When it comes to good news stories in fashion, there are few better than Sabine's. She grew up in her parents' fashion store and had opened two boutiques of her own - and her own line of lingerie - by the time she was 20.

Onyx Poppy proudly stocks Sabine's range of shapewear and compression garments and she will be present at the grand opening to explain her products to people that might be new to them.

This is a rare opportunity to meet a woman who has created a global empire by shunning the supermodel obsession in fashion by creating shapewear including supportive slips, bodysuits, knickers and waist trainers to help women of all ages and shapes look and feel their best.

One of the latest collections we’ve added to our racks is Naudic’s ‘Cotton Collection’. Created in Australia in 2008 by Emma Puttick, the Naudic brand draws inspiration from Emma’s experience with the bohemian styles of the Portobello Road markets in London and her travels across Sweden, India, and South-East Asia.

This brand is bold, brave, playful, and wearable, for women who live full lives and love every minute of it. In August 2020, we were excited to include their stunning ‘Cotton Collection’ in our boutique, a light and airy collection of daywear that stays true to the core Naudic style and is eminently wearable.

Our collection of Rubyyaya’s stunning clothes also continues to expand in-store. Also founded here in Australia, Rubyyaya is now sold in boutique shops around the world.

These dresses and tops target an attitude more than an age, are effortlessly elegant, are inspired by the founders’ love of travel and artisanal products, and have a refreshing sense of escape to them. The brand also works to promote fair labour practices.

The session is a fun and exciting opportunity to reinvent your style! Michele focuses on confidence-building and practical solutions to ensure that you look and feel fabulous in your clothes.

My best friend booked me a personal styling session with Onyx for my birthday. At first, I was apprehensive. I had no idea what the session would be like! But I was keen to have the opportunity to meet with a professional stylist and hopefully to improve my wardrobe.

From instantly meeting Michele I knew I was in good hands. She greeted me with a warm smile and was supportive throughout. Michele herself exuded a sense of stylish confidence that was surprisingly contagious and had seemingly spread to me by the end of the session.

First, we went through my measurements - a process she called body shape analysis. Michele asked me about my lifestyle, my goals and what I hoped to achieve from the session.

Then, I tried on some beautiful clothing from the store. After each item, I talked with Michele about how we felt about them. Admittedly, a few of the clothes were a little too adventurous for me, and Michele quickly adjusted her clothing choices to fit my picky fashion sense. After about 10 minutes it all clicked. Every item of clothing I tried on I loved.

I was absolutely beaming. Michele taught me different ways to wear clothing to look the most flattering on my body. I wore blazers, shirts, jeans, dresses, skirts and hats. I was shown how to seamlessly transition from different environments to get the most out of my outfits.

Since then, I have gone to Michele twice a year to refresh my look for the winter and summer. Michele’s expertise means that I can get all my shopping for the season out of the way in one day. The quality of the products has been exceptional, and I am very happy with the boutique.

Michele simply gets it. She knows the importance of feeling fabulous and is so good at giving this feeling to others. She knows what it’s like to be a woman and, above all, she knows style.
